ABOUT ME

My Creative Journey: Back in 2009, my father passed away from an unexpected massive heart attack. Due to the severity of the heart attack he went into a coma and never came out of it. It was very devasting for me and my family (mom and brother). It was a tough year dealing and coping with such a loss. I needed something to revert my focus and do something that brough joy into my life. That's when I came across Stampin' Up!. Fortunately, I had a friend from high school that was a local demonstrator. I contacted her immediately and was introduced to all Stampin' Up had to offer. I took classes and particiapted in her teams workshops, I was hooked and in love with the products. As I purchased products during each class/workshop, my then demonstrator talked to me about the advantages of joining Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator. Jump ahead about 5 years and another unexpected life changes hit. Unfortuantely, I was not longer able to stay as an active demonstrator. I was devastated.
Then, it finally happened. About 3 and 1/2 years ago, while visiting my then fiance I went with him to get his haircut. There on the ledge of the window was someone's business card from Stampin' Up! I had a huge smile on my face thinking "No Way, Stampin' Up! is in this small town? Well, it was. I contacted the demonstrator and she was so nice and welcoming even though I didn't live near the area. I attended some of her classes whenever I visited my then fiance. Every time I talked about Stampin' Up!, papercrafting, stamping and such my fiance said a huge smile would just come about on my face. He still tells me "You talk about it with such passion. Why don't you join again?" I thought about it and after about 2 years I decided to rejoin. I have never been so happy to be back at it again. I joined during the middle of the pandemic and it truly helped me cope with everything that was going on in the world around us.
Being a teacher as well, I was so ready to teach classes. I stepped out of my comfort zone immediately and started hosting FB Lives demonstrating different techniques and projects. I'm so happy that I can take the skills of my current full time job and use that to help others in their cretive journey like myself. I have definitely joined a great group of demonstrators in my future home of the small town I talk about.
I LOVE Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. It is so rewarding in so many ways. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone put together that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
